Cabo Sunset Cruise

Cabo Sunset Cruise

Just imagine leaving on a beautiful yacht out of the Cabo San Lucas Marina. The sea is calm, the air is salty and the views are stunning. Looking back at the gorgeous city of Cabo you realize just how great life is and how fortunate you are to be in this incredible country where people are so kind and the culture is amazing. A sunset cruise is a marvelous and exciting adventure and the different types of cruises are many and offer something for everyone.  The only problem is figuring out which one to chose. It’s all part of the excitement of cruising in Cabo.

Cabo San Lucas Fishing has several options for your choice of sailing. You can chose to sail for 90 minutes or up to 4 hours.  A great perk is the open bar and beautiful photography, with stop around the arch for beautiful photos.

The hardest decision is which one of the beautiful yachts you want to take out to sea! You have several choices of luxury yachts.

Blue Marlin 31 Foot Intrepid Express can carry up to 4 guest for small groups at $200 per hour.

Blue Star 32 Foot Luhrs at $200 per hour can carry up to 4 guests. Nice size for a small group, yet extremely comfortable.

Blue Water 35 Foot Riviera at $250 per hour for 4 to 6 people additional guest fee applies at after 4 at $40 per person.

Blue Sky 43 Foot Riviera at $350 per hour for 6 to 10 people additional guest fee applies at $40 per person.

Blue Sea 60 Foot at $500 per hour for 10 to 24 people additional guest fee applies after 10 people at $40 person.

I have gone out for an evening cruise with my family and a few other people with Cabo San Lucas Fishing team. The captain and crew were awesome. We were hoping to have a wonderful sunset cruise, and we most certainly did! My children were given the title of “Captain” and jumped in the seat to drive the boat for a few minutes, making their day to say the least…. The crew threw some lines in the water while we toured the area and soon after we had a fish on the hook! Captain Juan told my son to jump in the chair, but he was apprehensive, so I jumped in the chair and caught a Dorado! The crew cleaned it for us and we took it back that night to our resort and threw it on the grill. It was a very cool bonus to an already fantastic trip for the evening.

The sunset cruise usually sets sail in the late afternoon, around 4 pm.  But we normally get there before that time to have a cocktail somewhere around the Cabo San Lucas Marina. One personal suggestion is the Monkey Bar, great margarita’s!  Ask for Autoro (he is a wonderful bartender).

The yachts are beautiful and in pristine condition and the crew are friendly, kind and helpful hosts!

To keep everyone cheerful, an open bar is included; beer, alcohol, sodas and water.  All pricing exclude federal tax and suggested gratuity. Pizza is an option at $20 or go all out and have your own chef! Cost would be around $40 per person. (I personally like the chef option)!

Cabo San Lucas Fishing also offers snorkeling trips to Pelican Rock and El Arco, which are both very close to the Cabo Marina and are part of the beautiful Lands End rock formations in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Reserve.  In these waters you will see plenty of marine life to include sea turtles, surgeonfish, parrotfish, angelfish, rays and sea lions.  Cabo San Lucas Fishing also offers snorkeling trips to Santa Maria Beach and Chileno Bay, which are located north of Cabo San Lucas and are favorite snorkeling areas with the locals known for the great rock formations and abundance of marine life. For your safety and for the protection of the fragile marine life it is highly recommended that you use a professional snorkel tour operator like Cabo San Lucas Fishing. Not only will they provide all the necessary snorkel gear that you will need, they also will provide instructions for beginners and experienced snorkelers alike. Water and weather conditions varies depending on the time of year you are in or planning to be in Cabo and the experienced staffs of the charter boats of Cabo San Lucas Fishing can provide you with the information you need for making a good decision on when to go on a snorkeling cruise.

“I really don’t know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it’s because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it’s because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea – whether it is to sail or to watch it – we are going back from whence we came.”
